Region Website Now On-Line

Fort Leonard Wood, MO – January 30, 2006 ---- The official website of Missouri’s Fort Leonard Wood Region (MFLWR) is now on-line.  Bob Kreuter, Chairman of the association, said, “The site is an important key to attracting new companies to our three-county region.  The Region has a lot to offer, but we need tools like this website to get the word out.”

The Internet address for the site is www.MidAmericaLocations.org.  The site is intended for use by site selectors or company leaders who are looking for new locations for their companies.  Therefore, the site provides current, accurate and detailed information and statistics about the region, the counties and the major cities.  The website will be continually updated and improved.  The other cities in the region will be added shortly.

Ron Selfors, the website administrator, says the site was designed by Suresh Desu, of 4aWebSolution (a Rolla company at the time that is now located in Jefferson City).  “He did a great job and gave us a site with a lot of flexibility.  It’s easy to use and update.”  The site is operationally hosted by Kent Robinson of TeamOrb of Rolla.  Kent is able to provide all of the features and backup capabilities of the national hosting companies.  The great thing is that he’s right here in the Region.”

Missouri’s Fort Leonard Wood Region is a not-for-profit association which promotes economic and community development in the Fort Leonard Wood Region.  The Region extends along the I-44 Technology Corridor from Lebanon to Rolla/St. James.  It includes the three counties of Laclede, Pulaski and Phelps.  Its membership includes cities, county, school districts, utility companies, businesses and other associations.  Fort Leonard Wood, University of Missouri Rolla, United States Geological Survey, and the regional planning councils also participate.
