Several regional organizations serve businesses in the Fort Leonard Wood Region:

  • Missouri's Fort Leonard Wood Region (MFLWR) is the regional economic development organization for Laclede, Pulaski and Phelps Counties. It actively recruits companies to locate to the region and helps companies successfully establish themselves in the region. You are on the MFLWR website.   • Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) provides Phelps and Pulaski Counties and their cities with community and economic development support services. It also serves seven other Missouri counties. 573-265-2993
  • Meramec Regional Development Corporation Revolving Loan Fund provides low-interest loans to help finance industrial start-ups, expansions or retentions when the full amount of financing is not available from private lenders.   • Lake of the Ozarks Council of Local Governments (LOCLG) provides Laclede County with community and economic development support services. It also serves three other Missouri counties. 573-346-5616.
  • Missouri Enterprise provides a wide range of company services across all industry sectors.  It operates the National Institute of Standards and Technologies' Manufacturing Extension Program for the State and a State incubator and innovation center at Rolla and across the Region.  573-341-0017
  • Leonard Wood Institute provides academia and industry with collaboration opportunities in support of the Department of Defense mission at Fort Leonard Wood.  FLW is the home of the Army's Chemical, Engineer and Military Police Schools.  FLW trains thousands of soldiers, airmen, marines and sailors every year.  It also has a major science and technology mission in defining requirements for future capabilities for the three discipline areas.  573-329-8502
