Full service hospitals are located in both Lebanon and Rolla.  Emergency room services are available at the Fort Leonard Wood Military Hospital to all residents and visitors in the county. 

Recreation and Community Facilities. 

Waynesville's city park located on the banks of the Roubidoux Creek.  The creek itself is a regionally-famous trophy trout stream.  The park has a fitness trail, swimming pool, picnic areas, pavillions, sports fields and playgrounds.  Laughlin Park is a certified stop on the Historic Trail of Tears, on the National Park Service's National Historic Trail system.  The area abounds in outdoor recreation opportunites - hiking, fishing, hunting, canoeing to name a few.

The city has a public library and two museums, the Old Stagecoach Stop and the Pulaski County Museum in the Old County Court House.  There is also the Pulaski Fine Arts Association that stages dramatic productions, such as On Golden Pond, throughout the year. 

The city is host to a number of festivals and other events during the year which celebrate the city's colorful history or mark the seasons.  Events include Old Settlers' Day, the Frog Fest and Christmas on the Square.

Not far from Waynesville are the big-city sights and recreational opportunites of St. Louis and Springield.  The world-famous Branson attractions are little more than two hours away.  The many recreational opportuniteis that the Lake of the Ozarks provides is only 1.5 hours away.
